BSCK supports young potential entrepreneurs up until 35
years of age in starting up their own business and is a joint undertaking of
SPARK and local partners: University of Prishtina, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Ministry
of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry
of Youth and Sports. The BSCK has been operating in Kosovo since early 2006 and
has directly helped to create more than new 30 SMEs run by young dynamic
entrepreneurs. As part of a potential new 30 months grant the BSCK is searching
for a vibrant Business Incubator Manager to continue its successes.

Background:
The mission of the Prishtina Business Incubator (PBI) is to
accelerate the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies by means of an
integrated set of business support services. The Prishtina Business Incubator
plans to provide support to 20+ small start-up companies for a period of 4-5
years with the aim to produce successful firms that will leave the business
incubator financially viable and ready to compete successfully in the
marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Lead all start-up activities for the business incubator:
business plan development, hiring additional technical experts and
administrative staff and coordinating activities with BSCK Management Board and
external consultants;
Provide support to PBI tenants and SMEs in Kosovo wide in
one or more of the following areas: marketing, accounting and financial
management, production operations, and human resource management;
Manage all technical and administrative support provided by
the PBI;
Establish and manage all administrative policies and staff
of the PBI;
Establish a performance measuring system for all tenants of
the PBI;
Work with BSCK Management Board to develop new proposals and
programs for funding as well as update annual work plans and budgets.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position of Prishtina Business
Incubator Manager will have:
Entrepreneurial
experience in running a private business or having a leading position in a
private firm for at least 3 years;
A university degree or preferably MA in related field;
Experience with cooperation with SMEs;
Experience with project management (preferably coordination
of donor-funded projects);
Well
organized, methodical, ability to set priorities and pay attention to detail;
Proactive,
problem-solving and time management skills;
Demonstrated
excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative managerial style;
Entrepreneurial
attitude;
Strong
communication skills and team work experience;
Computer
skills (good command of Word, Excel);
Excellent
knowledge of English, demonstrated in English report writing skills and
excellent oral communication skills. Knowledge of Serbian language will be an
advantage.
