The Business Start-Up Centre Kosovo in an auspicious event delivered the certificates for participants of BSCK trainings for 2009 and announced the best business plans from these trainings. The awarding ceremony was held on 10th of July 2009 at Grand Hotel Prishtina. 98 participants from five training locations received certificates and 12 of them were awarded with best business plans.
This year, Business Support Centre Kosovo opened its School of Entrepreneurship in Prishtina, which was attended by 25 participants. Trainings were also organized in Peja, namely Business Skills Trainings, and Entrepreneurial Skills Trainings for minorities in Osojane, Strpce and Gora.
This ceremony was attended by representatives of government, international community, universities and business world.
A welcome note to participants and guests was given by Executive Director of BSCK, Mr. Besnik Krasniqi, who explained the activities and future plans of BSCK. Next, the Mayor of Prishtina, prof. dr. Isa Mustafa informed the attendees of the ceremony about cooperation of BSCK with Municipality and plans for building a Business Incubator in Prishtina.
The Director of SPARK, Mr. Yannick du Pont delivered a speech on SPARK activities in the Balkans with special emphasis on Kosovo.
Participants were presented certificates by SPARK Project Manager, Marieke Pluk and School of Entrepreneurship trainer, Alban Zogaj.
Among government representatives in this event was Minister of Trade and Industry of Kosovo, Mr. Lutfi Zharku who informed the guests about the cooperation this Ministry has had with BSCK since the beginning and the assistance that this institution will provide to BSCK.
Present also was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Mr. Salih Morina who spoke of the importance of educating youth and plans of the Ministry on helping institutions do so.
The Minister of Trade and Industry had the honor of presenting awards to winners of best business plans of this year. The 2009 best business plans are:

At the end of the ceremony, a School of Entrepreneurship participant, Flora Saraçi described how BSCK trainings widened her business horizon and help learn the essential steps in starting a business.
Trainings of this year were attended by 98 participants, 38% of them were women and 50% were minorities (Serb and Gorani).
